To begin with mechanical changes the Czech carmaker has removed the diesel variant from its line-up and now Kodiaq comes equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI petrol and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine options. As far as the 1.5-litre petrol TSI version is concerned nothing has been confirmed so far by the carmaker. The Skoda Kodiaq RS version will be equipped with a 2.0-litre TSI engine outsourced from RS Octavia. This engine generates the power of 245 bhp and mated with a seven-speed DSG transmission system.

Inside the cabin, it receives minimal changes including the option of ergonomic seats covered in perforated leather. Other changes include a two-spoke steering wheel, LED ambient lighting, a Canton sound system with ten speakers along with a sub-woofer mounted on the trunk. Apart from these updates it also receives the new 9.2-inch touchscreen and a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

On the exterior front, it receives a new grille to make it look different from its existing version. Other changes includes revamped front fascia, slim headlights with an option of LED lights, new front bumper and roof-mounted spoiler. The alloy wheels are offered in range from 17 to 20 inches according to the variant purchased by the buyer. The RS variant however, receives the large 20-inch polished alloy wheels with a metallic black garnish.
