Skoda To Launch Kodiaq Scout During The Fourth Quarter Of 2019
After launching the compact SUV Kodiaq in the Indian car market back in 2017, Czech car maker Skoda has confirmed to launch the Kodiaq Scout in India by the end of this year. The off-road version of the regular Kodiaq was showcased during the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017. In the international market the Kodiaq Scout is offered in both the petrol and diesel variants with two engine options in both the variants. The petrol variant is offered with 150 PS 1.4 litre TSI petrol and 180 PS 2.0 litre TSI petrol engine, whereas the diesel variant is offered with 150 PS 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine and 190 PS 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine. The transmission duties are performed by six speed manual and seven speed DSG transmission systems. The India bound version might be offered with 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine mated with seven speed DSG transmission system. The company might introduce the petrol variant next year in 2020.

As far as the looks of Kodiaq Scout are concerned it looks more bolder and aggressive than compared to its regular version. With an objective to protect it from the damage it is equipped with robust accessories, that will protect the underbody components like engine, gearbox, brake, cables and fuel pipes. The underbody protection parts are mainly divided into three parts namely roof rails, side window trims and ORVM housings.

To make the Scout look different from the regular Kodiaq the exteriors will be offered with differentiating color scheme comprising of anthracite color painted on the rear window, rear side windows and 19 inch alloy wheels. Along with the company has also mounted large badges at the front windows and glove compartment, apart from the front and rear fascia. It is speculated to be offered in the price range of Rs. 36 lakh to Rs. 38 lakh (ex-showroom price).
