The lime green color gives BMW i8 a splendid look
Expected to make its debut in Indian car market the luxurious hybrid sports car BMWi8 from German luxurious car maker BMW has been caught for the first time in eye catching lime green color
at its authorized dealership in Abu Dhabi. The images of same were recently leaked on different portal and going through the images it seems like an additional paint painted on body as the color seems to be carefully covered. It is because of this even the front parking sensors are also not shown in picture.
Slated for launch on February 18, 2015, the hybrid sports car BMW i8 would be empowered with 1.5 litre, twin turbocharged petrol engine combined with electric motor. The petrol engine boosts the power of 231 bhp and torque of 320Nm, on the other side electronic motor develops the power of 131 PS and torque of 250Nm. Thus car overall generates the power of 362 PS and torque of 570 Nm. It would be one of the most fuel efficient sports car which is endorsed to deliver the fuel efficient performance of 40 kmpl. it would be mated with six speed automatic transmission system and accelerates the speed from standstill to 100 kmph within the span of 4.5 seconds and the top speed of 250 kmph
