Toyota to launch facelift Etios during festive season

It is reported that Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM), the Indian alliance of Japanese car maker Toyota is going to launch the mid-lift facelift version of its luxurious sedan in Indian car market sometimes during the upcoming festive season. According to reports spies have captured the images of its prototype being tested on Indian roads recently. The power train of facelift Etios is reported to continue existing engine line up of 1.5 litre petrol engine boosting the power of 90PS and torque of 132 Nm, followed by diesel variant empowered with 1.4 litre diesel engine generating the power of 68PS and torque of 170Nm. The transmission will include five speed manual gearbox transmission system.

The images facelift Etios captured by spies reveal that this mid life upgrade will receive contemporary changes giving sedan completely a new appearance. The front fascia will receive a newly developed V-shaped front grille with chrome garnished vents and black inserts, similar to Toyota Etios Platinum launched recently in Brazil. Other changes introduced on front fascia include sportier bumper followed by enlarged intake, round shaped fog lamps, new chrome bar covering the boot with revised rear bumper.

Inside the cabin it is reported to receive dual tone treatment in form of black and beige colored dashboard with beige fabric seats, chrome inserts for HVAC ventilation, steering wheel covered with black leather along with buttons.
 
It is reported that along with Etios, Japanese car maker is also speculating to launch the facelift version of Etios Liva hatchback also in Indian car market during the same time. Therefore to finishing the existing stock of ongoing Etios family car maker has offered huge discounts to lure buyers so as to make way for facelift versions of these vehicles.
