Volkswagen India rolls out 1,00,000th car from Chakan Plant
Europe’s biggest and one of the most innovative car making companies in the world Volkswagen reached yet another goal at the Chakan plant selling their 1,00,000th car on a beautiful occasion which was graced in the presence of MP Supriya Sule, MLAs Dilip Mohite-Patil and Vilas Lande.The company’s end saw many senior officials coming like president and managing director, Volkswagen India Private Limited Dr John Chacko and Executive Director, Technical, Volkswagen India Private Limited Holger Nestler.
The 1 Lakh unit mark was achieved by Volkswagen on Friday in just a span of 2 years of their reign in India. The car that made Volkswagen reach its 1 lakh mark was none other than the successful Volkswagen Vento. The chakan plant currently produces Volkswagen Vento, Volkswagen Polo and Skoda Fabia.
Volkswagen India is one of the fastest and the most progressive car companies in the country. The current list of cars produced by the company in India include hatchback Volkswagen Polo, mid-size sedan Volkswagen Vento, premium sedan Volkswagen Jetta and Volkswagen Passat, Volkswagen New Beetle, and luxury SUV Touareg.
