Volvo Launches XC 60 In India, Priced Rs.55.90 Lakh
Volvo India the Indian alliance of Swedish car maker Volvo has launched its luxurious SUV XC60 in the Indian car market with the price of Rs. 55.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Developed on company’s newly introduced Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform the XC60 has been offered only in one variant christened as “Inscription” and embellished with plenty of remarkable features. The new Volvo XC60 will compete against BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5, Jaguar F-Pace and proposed Lexus NX300h.
Under the hood it is empowered with 1969 cc four cylinder twin turbocharged diesel engine that is capable of producing the power of 233 bht at 4000 rpm followed by the torque of 480Nm at 1750-2250 rpm. The transmission duty is performed by eight speed Geartrnic automatic transmission system. In the international market the XC60 is offered with option of two petrol engines along with the option of diesel engine. All the engine are configured with 2 litre turbocharged engine. It is reported that the car maker will launch these variants in the Indian car market in coming future.
On the exterior front the XC60 carries most of its cues from its sibling XC90 and customized with company’s signature multi plates chrome grille, LED headlamps with LED DRLs from Thor. The front bumper is offered with broad central air dam along with integration of chrome elements on both the sides. Apart from this the SUV also receives small fog lamps. Simply it can be said that in its new the XC60 carries more aggressive and dynamic looks.
The list of other notable features include cooled/heated front seats enriched with massage functionality, nine inches Sensus touchscreen system, 360 degree camera, blind spot assist system, semi-automatic parking, lane departure warning and safety features like adaptive cruise control system and many more.
