The Indian associate of Toyota Motor Corporation, TKM or Toyota Kirloskar Motor is eyeing on exporting about more than 20000 units of Etios Twins to South Africa in 2012, which means 1700 units shipment every month to be sent out to SA. As per the sales and marketing senior vice president of Toyota South Africa Motors, Mr. Calvyn Hammam, the new Toyota Etios twins will amplify the line of cars in the entry level segment. Etios Twins will revive up the segment for Toyota since the sad demise of Tazz about five years ago. Toyota will give a tough competition to the market leader in South Africa, which is Volkswagen. Volkswagen has Polo Vivo, which is a great seller there. Toyota Etios sedan and Liva hatchback will battle it out with Aygo and Yaris, who are great winners in their A and B segments. But, on the other hand, Toyota Etios twins will offer the South African consumers a great amalgamation of powerful engine options, comfort, and value for money and stunning traits.

In the South African car market, both Toyota Etios Liva hatchback and Toyota Etios sedan are likely to be priced less than R116,000 and would come with impressive features like dual airbags, two year service plan and efficient air cooling system. With the exports being done to South Africa, there is no news about the launch of Toyota Etios twins in the European market. However, in India, these cars managed to do a respectable business.
