2014 Toyota Corolla with sporty looks all set to launch

The recent snap shots of new version Toyota Corolla are breathtaking. The competition in the field of sedans is flourishing with great speed. Toyota Auris is the source of motivation for the 2014 version of Toyota Corolla as the front part very resembles to the Auris hatchback. From the spy shots one can figure out that the designers of next generation Corolla have thought out of the box to give a versatile look to the car.

The front part especially the headlights have a curved look with an ultra modern dashboard having unique panache about itself. The exterior of the car has new headlights and LED taillights along with lights specifically turned on to have a clear vision in case of foggy environment. According to the sources, the interior features of the car which were camouflaged consist of a spick-and-span three-gauge instrument cluster overriding the recent Corolla’s layout with two-gauge. It has a chrome trim around the corners.

As the new Toyota corolla has the taste of Auris, the most important component of the car that is the engine. It is quite possible that Toyota may put in that as well similar to that of Auris. The naturally aspirated petrol engine with the capacity of 1.8 liter is anticipated to be very powerful and give more mileage than the previous one. The outdated four speed gearbox will be superseded by a six speed one with an option of CTV automatic transmission. Few models may also be manufactured having the capacity of 1.3 liters and 1.6 liters petrol engines targeted to selected markets. It will also have an option of 1.4 liter D-4D turbo diesel engine  generating 90 Bhp-200 Nm. It might be possible to catch the look of the car in the forthcoming Auto Shows as Toyota will start with its production in next few months.

Ford announces new Sync AppLink compatible apps at CES 2013

Ford is soon to make its cars gizmo world. At the CES 2013, the American car maker has introduced nine new applications. These applications will not only make car drive easier but will also be keeping the driver and occupants entertained informed during the drive. These apps include Rhapsody and Wall Street Journal as well. Soon Ford will be announcing 20 apps that can be integrated with the Sync AppLink. Those cars which have the Sync AppLink installed will be able to use these new apps. These apps can be controlled through the voice commands as well as manually through the controls available on the dashboard.  

Ford has always been the first in introducing new features and gizmos in its cars. It was Ford that introduced the voice command system in Ford Fiesta in India and it became so popular. The latest apps announced are related to every domain be it information or entertainment thus making the car a place one wishes to be in always. The applications include Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Kaliki, Amazon Cloud Player, Aha Radio, Rhapsody, Greater Media, Glympse and BeCouply. Thus in addition to the existing navigation and voice command applications, these applications will greatly increase the versatility of Ford cars.  

The car maker also showcased the apps in action live at the CES 2013 held in Las Vegas and shows how the Wall Street Journal app reads aloud the latest developments and news. Using the Aha Radio application one can listen to songs and on the other hand it is the most handy as it reads aloud the location of nearby restaurants, besides the final destination. These applications should be installed on an Android phone and then these can be accessed using the Sync AppLink. In addition to this Ford is also providing the Sync AppLink application SDk for developers to download and integrate it with their applications. In future this will make it easier for Ford car users to directly access many more of their favorite Android applications.
