2020 Kia Seltos Launched In India, Price Starts From Rs. 9.89 lakh

Kia Motors India, the Indian alliance of South Korean carmaker Kia Motors has launched the upgraded compact SUV Seltos in the Indian car market with the starting price of Rs. 9.89 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs. 10.34 lakh for the diesel variant. Both the prices are ex-showroom and announced for the base trims. The 2020 Seltos receives 10 new safety and connectivity features followed by two engine options of 1.5-liter Smartstream and a 1.4-liter GDI Smartstream engine in the petrol variant and a 1.5-liter CRDi VGT diesel engine.

Speaking about the ten new features that are offered in 2020 Seltos are concerned the list includes full automatic temperature control (FATC) deco panel with silver coating, however, this feature is offered in HTX, HTX+, GTX, and GTX+ trims.  The HTX+ and GTX+ variants are offered with a new dual-tone sunroof option, while the HTK and GTK variants are offered with electric sunroof with LED cabin lamp, metal coating on air-conditioner controls, and metal scuff plates. Moving ahead, the HTX+ trim has been offered with dual-tip muffler, leatherette gear knob, and garnished dashboard. Whereas the GTX+ has been upgraded with all-black interiors with stitched in red color and air conditioner controls garnished in metallic color. Along with these features, the HTX+ and GTX+ trims are offered with a new dual-tone Orange/White roof color treatment.
 
Speaking about the engine specifications all the three engines are BS-VI compliant. The 1.5-liter petrol engine is offered with an option of a six-speed manual gearbox transmission system and a CVT automatic transmission system, while the 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine comes with a six-speed manual gear transmission system with an option of a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission system. The diesel variant is offered with a six-speed manual transmission system followed by a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The new Seltos is offered with three driving modes namely Normal, Eco, and Sport followed by three terrain modes including Wet, Mud, and Sand.
