Kia Motors Ready To Launch Facelift Seltos In India
After the successful launch of the facelift Seltos in the Korean car market, the carmaker is all set to launch the facelift Seltos in the Indian car market in August 2022. In Korea, the 2022 Seltos is launched with a price tag of 20.6 million Won (approx 12.57 lakh INR). According to rumours the Indian version of the facelift Seltos will be different from its Korean version and will undergo a plethora of cosmetic updates on both exterior and interiors. Mechanically it will receive the same engine configurations of a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. The first two engines generate the power of 114 bhp and 138 bhp, whereas the last one develops the power of 114 bhp.
On the front fascia, it will receive features like a front small grill with a dual headlamp cluster, LED DRLs, an upgraded front bumper with subtle changes, a new faux skid plate, and newly designed alloy wheels. On the rear front, it receives a completely new bumper followed by updated taillamps. The Indian version is smaller and taller than its Korean counterpart.
Moving inside the cabin, it receives a dual colour treatment of black and caramel colours giving it a sportier look. Reports reveal that the Gravity variant might receive the midnight green colour treatment. The Korean-spec version of the 2022 Seltos receives an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), UVO-connected car technology, a fully digital instrument cluster, and new coloured upholstery. The Indian version is reported to receive a panoramic sunroof and six airbags as standard features. This means the facelift Seltos will be according to the new safety norms of offering six airbags necessarily in vehicles capable to accommodate eight passengers.
