28000 units of Maruti Celerio delivered
Since its launch about four months back during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited has reported to sold out 28,000 units of its recently launched and highly acclaimed hatchback Celerio in Indian car market. Going through the sales figures revealed by company about Celerio it can be said that MSIL has managed out sale out about 7,000 units of hatchback every month. Apart from this the Celerio has recorded the booking of 58,000 units, this was confirmed by Mr. Mayank Pareek, Senior Executive Officer, MSIL.

Talking about the extending waiting period of Celerio Mr. Pareek said that this problem is not because of any problem in production efficiency of the company but the problem is to delay in supply of raw material from the supplier. However to cater this problem company is going to enhance the production of Celerio from 6000 units to 7000 units per month, which will result in declining the waiting period going high to 7-8 months.
According to Mr. Pareek out of the total units of Celerio sold out till date 50% of them were AMT variants. It would be interested to know that recently company has launched the CNG avatar of Celerio codenamed as Celeriio Green. Now although company has announced that to cater the problem of extending waiting period it will enhance the production of Celerio, but for that it will require to outsource the components especially the AMT gearbox from Magnetti Marelli suppliers from Italy.
