5834 units of Toyota Corolla Altis recalled by company
Japanese auto giant Toyota has recalled 5834 units of luxurious sedan Corolla Altis from Indian car market due to engine oil seeping into system of air intake. The units of Corolla Altis recalled were manufactured between June 2010 and May 2011. According to sources of company although there have been no complaints associated with this issue nor any of the product in company’s portfolio has been reported facing such problem manufactured during the same period.
The sources also said that all the dealers of Toyota India will initially contact the buyers of these units through letter and phone call. The buyers would also be informed about the time that will be required for rectifying the issue and no charges would be taken from them for repairing the issue. It would be important to mention that with inception of first generation Corolla Altis the sedan has been disputing product for company as prior to this it had recalled the sedan due to electronic issue.
