Audi A3 and A4 to be equipped with manual transmission system
According to latest industry reports German luxurious car maker Audi is speculating to offer its luxurious sedan A3 and A4 with manual transmission system. The existing versions of both sedans are offered with automatic transmission system. Industry experts believe that introduction of manual transmission system would be a profitable deal for both car maker and buyers.
The existing version of Audi A3 is empowered with 1.8 litre TFSI petrol engine boosting the power of 182 PS and torque of 250 Nm while the diesel trim is offered by 2.0 litre TDI engine generating the power of 144.2 PS and torque of 320Nm. On the other side A4 is energized with 1.8 litre petrol mill boosting the power of 168 PS and torque of 320 Nm followed by diesel version equipped with 2.0 litre diesel engine delivering the power of 175 PS and 380Nm. It is believed that both the sedans would be bestowed with MQ 350. 6 speed manual transmission system as offered in Audi Q3.
It is assumed that the idea behind the introduction of manual transmission system in both the sedan is inspired from the success enjoyed by Q3 SUV which is also equipped with manual transmissions system. The success of Audi Q3 could be understood from the fact that German car maker has already sold the determined units of Q3 for Indian car market and now by introducing the same strategy on its best selling sedan Audi intends to repeat the same history. It is speculated that with introduction of manual transmission prices of both these sedans will also come down.
