BMW launches 3 Series Gran Turismo Sport in Indian car market
German luxurious car maker BMW has extended the portfolio of its luxurious sedan 3 Series Gran Turismo by launching its Sports variant in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 39.90 lakh (ex-showroom price). The newly launched variant is priced Rs. 4.5 lakh lesser than its elder sibling 320d GT Luxury Line which is already on sale in Indian car market.
Mechanically the new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo Sport Line continues the existing 2.0 litre diesel engine as offered in its predecessors boosting the power of 184 bhp at 4,000 rpm and torque of 380 Nm at rpm varying between 1,750 and 2,750. The engine is mated with 8 speed Steptronic automatic gearbox. On the exteriors front it receives gloss back kidney shaped grill along with air dam. Moving inside the cabin you will find leather wrapped steering wheel and seats followed by sporty red stitching.
The parts of this edition would be assembled at company’s production unit in Chennai and is offered in fascinating non-metallic and metallic color option of midnight blue, black sapphire, and imperial blue brilliant. Addressing the launch of Gran Turismo Sport Line Mr. Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW, India said that the combination of dynamic looks and royal interiors succeed in giving the Sport Line and mesmerizing the car enthusiasts at first instance.
