New BMW 3 Series sedan to break cover on 27 July

The premium carmaker from Germany, BMW has created enough buzz across the nation prior to the launch of New BMW 3 Series sedan. Apart from commercials on television and web, the BMW’s Facebook page too displays various generations of 3 Series sedan that has generated overwhelming response. With all this hype, the company has formally announced the launch date of 2012 3 series, which will be 27th July 2012. Projected to be priced around Rs 25 Lakh it will rival Audi A4 and Mercedes Benz C Class in India. The face-lifted sedan holds aggressive front with inspirations from big brothers 5-Series and 7-Series accompanied by a more luxurious and modern gadget-filed interiors.

To ensure an in depth penetration regarding the launch awareness, a promotional campaign called ‘Ultimat3’ is on. Under this drive, the 2012 BMW 3 Series sedan will be showcased at some prominent malls of the metro cities in the country. There are speculations that initially only the diesel version that carries 2.0L 4-cylinders (184 Bhp and 380 Nm) will be unveiled, after which petrol powertrain will follow. The diesel engine will be available with choice of two transmissions, one will be 6-speed auto transmission and other can be 8-speed auto gearbox that does duty on 5-Series currently.

The exteriors of BMW 3-Series will sport some new cues flowing all over the body along with more angular projector head lamps packed with contemporary day-time running LEDs and reworked bumper that looks more appealing. Another noteworthy element of New BMW 3-Series is that the dimensions are bigger than former, but weights 40 kilogram lesser comparatively. With wider stance it is able to offer more headroom and knee room particularly for the rear occupants.
