BS-VI Compliant Hyundai Venue To Launch Soon, Reaches Dealers
Launched almost a year back in May 2019, the Venue compact SUV by Hyundai Motors has been one of the best launches by the Korean carmaker to receive an overwhelming response from the Indian buyers. However, going through the implementation of BS-VI from April this year, the company has rewind the whole production strategy of the compact SUU and has upgraded with BS-VI compliant 1.5-liter diesel engine, thus replacing the existing 1.4 liter CRDi diesel engine. According to company sources, the existing stock of 1.4-liter diesel engine is almost over and only a few of its units would be soon delivered to the customers.
As far as changes in the petrol engines are concerned there is no change in their displacement efficiency and would be continued with existing 1.2 liter naturally aspirated Kappa and 1.0-liter turbocharged engine. Interestingly the 1.0-liter turbocharged engine was already developed according to BS-VI emission norms, while the company has upgraded the hardware used in a 1.2-liter petrol engine for making it compatible with BS-VI standards. There is no change in their power generation efficiency, except for the hiked of Rs. 15,000 in the price of a 1.2-liter engine.
Speaking about the price of a new diesel variant is concerned company had not given any clue regarding this but based on information received from authentic sources it is believed to be priced Rs. 30,000 higher than its ongoing version. According to industry experts, as the Indo-Japanese carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has discontinued the diesel versions of its compact SUV Vitara Brezza, paying the extra amount for BS-VI diesel Venue will not affect much to the buyers.
