Hyundai Venue Diesel Variant Upgraded With BS-VI Compliant Engine

It is reported that Hyundai Motors India Limited, the Indian alliance of Korean carmaker has started the dispatch of BS-VI compliant diesel Venue to the dealerships across the country and is soon going to commence its delivery to prospective buyers. The new BS-6 compliant engine will replace the existing 1.4-liter CRDi diesel engine that churns an impressive power of 89 bhp and the torque of 220Nm. The new BS-VI, 1.5-liter engine is reported to deliver the power of 100 bhp.

According to reports, the new engine empowered in the diesel Hyundai Venue is the same as offered in Seltos from Kia Motors and also in the upcoming 2020 Hyundai Creta. The only difference is that the engine introduced in Seltos and Creta is embellished with a variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) feature, whereas in Venue it embellishes the fix geometry turbo (FGT) feature. The engine equipped in Seltos and Creta delivers the power of 113 bhp.
 
Speaking about the petrol Hyundai Venue, interestingly it is 1.2-liter naturally aspirated Kappa engine and has been recently upgraded according to BS-VI emission norms, whereas the other engine option of 1.0-liter petrol turbocharged engine is already according to new BS-VI norms. As far as the price of Hyundai Venue diesel with the 1.5-liter engine is concerned it is speculated to be Rs. 30,000/- expensive than its existing version.
