BSVI Compliant Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Launched In India
Premium car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the BSVI compliant version of its best selling MPV Ertiga in the Indian car market with the price tag of Rs. 7.54 lakh for the base variant and go high up to Rs. 10.05 lakh for the top end variant. The prices of all the variants are hiked up to Rs. 10,000 from their regular versions. Besides, engine the Ertiga also receives some more changes that compatible to the new BS6 emission norms that will come in force from April 1, 2020.

Mechanically, the MPV is empowered with 1.5 litre, four cylinder SHVS K15B petrol engine, outsourced from the sedan Ciaz. This engine is merged with Suzuki’s mild hybrid technology, thus generates the power of 104.7 PS and the torque of 138Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by five speed manual gear transmission duties followed by an option of four speed automatic transmission duties.

The first generation of Ertiga was launched back in 2012 and stepped in its second generation last year during the month of November. In its second generation also the MPV succeeded in receiving an encouraging response from the Indian buyers. Apart from the BSVI compliant Ertiga petrol the Indo-Japanese car maker is also set to launch the refreshed Ertiga proposed to be christened as Ertiga XL during the festive season this year. The six-seater Ertiga XL is reported to be empowered with 1.5 litre BSVIengine mated with SHVS technology. Apart from the engine, it will also undergo contemporary cosmetic updates that will help in making it look different from the regular version of the Ertiga.
