Maruti Suzuki Upgrades Ertiga Family With Tour M Variant
After upgrading the MPV Ertiga with the in-house build 1.5 litre DDiS 225 4 cylinder diesel engine, country’s leading carmaking company Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new variant christened as Tour M in the family of Ertiga MPV. Similar to Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour S variant the Ertiga Tour M variant has been targeted for the cab and taxi operators. However, one thing which makes Ertiga Tour M different from Dzire Tour S is that the former has been introduced in the mid-level VXi trim and not in the base variant. The Indo-Japanese car maker has not yet revealed the price of the new variant, but it is expected to be offered with the price sticker of Rs. 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
Under hood the Tour M variant will be empowered with 1.5 litre K15B petrol engine that is capable of boosting the power of 105 bhp and the torque of 138Nm and mated with five speed manual gear transmission system. According to reports the company is also going to introduce the company installed CNG kit due to its increasing popularity and budget friendly price. On the safety front it will be equipped with dual airbags for the front seat passengers, Anti-Lock Braking System, seatbelt reminder, speed limit reminder with speed limit maximized at 80 kmph, and rear parking sensors.
Moving ahead to look the Tour M variant different from the regular VXi trim it has been upgraded with front chrome garnished grille, body colored door handles, ORVMs with turn indicators, wheel caps and projector headlamps. Inside the cabin it will be embellished with head rests for all the passengers, dual tone dashboard, audio system that supports connectivity with AUX, Bluetooth connectivity, USB, four speakers, power steering, remote central locking system, power windows on both front and rear sides, steering mouned audio and call controls, and many more.
