Camry Hybrid From Toyota Soon to be Launched in Indian Car Market
Japanese auto giant Toyota Motors does not require any introduction to introduce itself among the hybrid car lovers. In Indian car market, the Japanese car maker operates its activities through Toyota Kirloskar Motor which is involved in sale of Prius car in hybrid segment. Now it is reported that Toyota is soon going to launch Toyota Camry Hybrid in Indian car market. Here it would be important to mention here that the report of launching Camry Hybrid is really something very surprising for industry experts because Prius did not succeed in meeting company’s expectations. Although, it is also reported that learning from the experiences gained from the launch of Camry Hybrid, Toyota has endeavored hard to grab attention of Indian car lovers by integrating all the features expected by Indian audiences.
As far as features adorned in Camry Hybrid are concerned, it adorns the same engine as integrated in Prius with very unrecognizable change. The Hybrid is powered with 2AR FXE DOHC VVT-I 2.5-litre powertrain engine, that will generate the power of 202 Bhp, of which 158 Bhp from petrol unit and 44 Bhp from electronic unit. Moving towards the looks of Camry Hybrid are concerned they are stunning and have potential to grab attention of everyone. The modified bumper with wide air darn, followed by fog lamps with inserted chrome adds a spicy look to design of Camry Hybrid.
It would be important to mention that Toyota has worked hard for enhancing the interiors of car as this can be witnessed from the spacious interiors which are designed to provide complete comfort to rear passengers. Apart from this additional features adhered in Camry include three zone climatic control system, powered rear seats, cruise control and cooling function at the front seats.
Moving towards the price of Camry Hybrid, nothing has been so far revealed by Toyota, but experts anticipate that it would be priced Rs. 28 lakh (ex-showroom price). Although, according to industry experts going through the situation of Indian car market in current scenario launch of Camry Hybrid from Toyota Motors is not less than a gamble. Moreover till now hybrid cars have not succeeded in making their place in heart of Indian car drivers.
