Chevrolet Sail sedan and hatchback production ready models spied

The upcoming Chevrolet cars - Chevrolet Sail sedan and Chevrolet Sail U VA hatchback were reportedly spotted in Cochin and experts believe that the launch of these cars is round the corner. Notably, the Sail sedan and the Sail hatchback are lined up and are eagerly awaited in India as budget cars. Chevrolet will be bringing the cars in India with from the fleet of its Chinese partner SAIC. Where the Sail sedan is expected to be pitched in the compact sedan market, the sail hatchback will be revolutionizing its segment following its low price and features.

The test mules spotted in Cochin had high level of camouflage made with the help of strips. The Chevrolet Sail sedan test car was white colored with black strips while the Sail hatchback was orange colored with yellow strips. As per the buzz, where the Sail sedan will replace the Chevrolet Aveo sedan that has almost lost its sheen and its sales have dwindled fast, the Sail U VA will replace the current Chevrolet UV A. Both these cars are reportedly coming this Diwali but the aggressive testing by Chevrolet indicates an early launch that could be next month.

The Chevrolet Sail U-VA will be competing with the most dominant offering Maruti Swift and Skoda Fabia besides other small cars such as Ford Figo and others. The U-VA will be powered by the 1.3 L diesel engine that is also hoped to power the upcoming MPV Chevrolet Enjoy. The Chevrolet Sail sedan on the other hand will have more powerful configuration and will have some stunning features that will not only make it a worth buy in the segment but will also help it fight well with the Maruti Swift Dzire, Tata Indigo CS and others. The price of the Sail sedan is expected to be Rs 5 lakh while the Sail U-VA will be priced just under Rs 5 lakh.
