Chevrolet Spin launched in Brazil, eyes Indonesian market
Chevrolet has come up with a new car in Brazil which is named Chevrolet Spin, this new car has no similarity with the Indian version of Chevrolet Enjoy, but it has been designed to fulfil the same purpose that Enjoy serves. Tagged as a family car, Chevrolet Spin is roomier, auto experts suggest that the dimensions of Spin are a tad bigger than Maruti Ertiga MPV. Spin is 4.36 meter in length and has a width of 1.74 meters, which flaunts a height of 1.66 meters.
Chevrolet Spin has been launched in three trim levels which include, LT and two LTZ variants. These trims come affixed with a six speed manual transmission.General Motors had displayed a white coloured Spin at the 2011 Indonesian Motor Show, rumours suggest that Indonesia would be the first Asian market where the car will be launched in 2013. On the contrary, Indian car market is unlikely to get this car as China made Chevrolet Enjoy is already a part of the domestic market.
Chevrolet has also put on offer an entry level trim of Spin viz; Chevrolet Spin LS for the Brazilian customers. This entry level variant of Spin is expected to lure many customers to the showroom and hence this is expected to be the volume puller of the vehicle. This variant comes equipped with a key that has a knife like shape, exteriors flaunt 15 inch alloy wheels and black body fitting. On the interior front, only a handful of features are embedded in this trim, features which are present inside the car include a driver side airbag, 12V power socket, digital display. However, features that are not present in this trim include power windows, stereo and a manual aircon. Chevrolet Spin is packed with a powerful engine which is a 1.8 litre 160 Hp-164 Nm mill. Coming to the price part, the LS variant is up for grabs at Rs 11.95 lakhs while the LT1 trim is available Rs 12.15 lakhs (please note that the price is mentioned in Indian currency).
