Diesel variant of Maruti Suzuki Celerio captured by spies

The rumors regarding launch of Maruti Suzuki Celerio has been in air since the launch of its petrol trim and at regular intervals spies have also reported to witness the diesel variant of Celerio being tested on Indian roads. This time again spies have captured the pictures of Celerio’s diesel trim going under test drives. according to reports received from spies the diesel variant would be empowered with three cylinder 793cc diesel engine that will boost the power of 70 bhp and torque of 175 Nm. The engine would be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system and will deliver the fuel efficient performance of 30 kmpl.

Talking about the appearance of Maruti Suzuki Celerio diesel it will carry most of the looks similar to existing petrol and CNG trims of Celerio with DDis badge at the rear portion to make it different from petrol trim. Apart from this other features on exteriors and interiors seems to be the same as offered in existing version. The diesel Celerio is expected to be offered with higher price tag ranging from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 70,000 than its petrol version. After launch it would be the tough contender to Chevrolet Beat.
