Facelift Jeep Compass Launched With The Price Tag Of Rs. 16.99 Lakh
The US-based carmaker Jeep has launched the facelift version of its bestselling compact SUV Compass in the Indian car market with the starting price of Rs.16.99 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The first generation of Compass was launched three years back in 2017 and since then it is one of the best products launched by the company in India. Under in its new avatar, the 2021 Jeep Compass receives lots of cosmetic updates both on the exterior and interior fronts. Along with facelift version the company has also launched its Limited Edition to commemorate the 80 years of Jeep’s successful existence in the International market.

Under the hood, the facelift Jeep Compass continues to come equipped with a 1.4-litre Multi-air petrol engine and a 2.0-litre Multi-jet diesel engine. The transmission duties are performed by the options of a six-speed manual gearbox, nine-speed torque converter gearbox, and a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission system. The company also offers the 4x4 driving option on a few of its trims.
Speaking about the changes offers inside the cabin, it receives the new and bigger 10.1-inch touchscreen system with new UConnect 5 system supporting connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The list of other updates features inside the cabin are wireless charging system, 360-degree parking camera, ventilated front seats, and digital instrument console. Along with this, the company has also updated the knobs and buttons for controlling various functionalities with soft materials. On the safety front, it comes equipped with seven airbags, electronic stability program, terrain modes, hill descent control, hill assist, and ABS+EBD.

On the exterior front, it receives a new dark green colour option and carries a more aggressive appearance than compared to its existing version. The other exterior features are chrome garnished seven-slated front grille, LED headlights with LED DRLs, large air dam, new bumper, updated faux skid plate, new fog lamps, and new spoke-alloy wheels on the front and side fascia. The rear comes equipped with new LED taillights and a few more.
Moving to the Anniversary Edition, it comes empowered with 2.0-litre diesel engine mated with a manual gear transmission system. It is offered with the price sticker of Rs. 22.96 lakh (ex-showroom price). In India, the Jeep Compass goes against the likes of MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Hyundai Tucson, and Skoda Karoq.
