Jeep Compass Launched in India, Price Starts at Rs. 14.95 Lac
Finally, the much awaited Jeep Compass launched in the Indian car market for start price of Rs. 14.95 Lac ex-showroom. Since, there is a huge demand of SUV cars in India, company launched this product in the same segment to record a good response from the car lovers. The Fiat Chrysler Automobile blessed the Jeep Compass with tough looks and classy interiors that will be one of the important point towards its success in India.
Mechanically, the Jeep Compass launched in both petrol and diesel model to meet the requirements of Indian car lovers. The diesel unit of the Compass comes with a 2.0L MultiJet II Turbo powertrain that produces power of 170 hp and peak torque of 350 Nm, mated with 6-Speed manual gearbox. While, the petrol variant runs on a 1.4L Multiair engine which delivers the power of 160 hp and peak torque of 250 Nm, mated with 6-speed manual and 7-speed DDCT automatic gearbox to ensure the smooth drive with efficient fuel economy.
In the looks, the Compass SUV is much similar to its elder siblings, the Grand Cherokee. The car possesses the projector headlamps with daytime running LEDs, attractive character lines, 16-inch alloy wheel (17-inch optional in top variants) and LED tail lamps that make it eye-catchy. The car is available in five color options – Vocal White, Minimal Grey, Exotica Red, Hydro Blue and Brilliant Black. Inside the cabin, it has 7-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports the Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Voice Command to ease in drive.
Jeep launched the Compass SUV with more than 50 safety features including the 6-airbag safety, electronic stability control (ESC), ABS, adaptive brake lights, hill start assistance, driveline disconnect technology and many others that ensure the safety of all its occupants.
The company confirmed that before launch of Jeep Compass, they have reached 5000+ bookings of it. Since, due to GST implementation in India, its price is also reduced that will definitely enhance the sale of this solid SUV in Indian car market.
