Features of generation next Volkswagen Passat revealed by Volkswagen

German car maker Volkswagen has finally disclosed the features adorned in its generation next luxurious sedan Passat in an event at Berlin. The upcoming sedan would be based on company’s iconic philosophy MQB platform which will be now followed in all upcoming products offered by company. According to sources of company the generation next Passat has been developed specifically for European car market and might hit roads during the third week of July this year.

To begin with greasy configurations the new Passat will be offered in both petrol and diesel variants. Both the variants will be empowered with new engine configurations. The petrol variant will embellish the new four cylinder direct injection petrol engine while the diesel variant will empower the common rail diesel engine. Both the variants will be coated with six speed manual transmission system or with seven speed dual clutch gearbox with automatic stop/start button. Moving towards the physical appearance of upcoming Passat, it would be undoubtedly miles ahead from its erstwhile version and will carry all the new dynamic looks.

The new Passat looks more stunning and gorgeous with fascinating lines running across the whole body. The front fascia receives newly developed LED headlights along with new grille making the front portion aggressive and dynamic. The rear portion receives chrome garnish along with dual trapezoidal exhaust pipes on both the sides. It is endorsed that the upcoming avatar of Passat would be fuel efficient product as compared to outgoing model of Passat which is due to its developed on MQB platform. The other latest features adorned in Passat include active information display system, an extendable head up display followed by rear seat entertainment for tablet computers. It also adorns safety features for instance Emergency Assist, Trailer Assist, Front Assist plus City Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Monitoring, Traffic Jam Assist and few more. Industry experts believe that the car maker offers the same products in Indian car market which are launched in European car market and therefore it is speculated that the same version of Passat would be launched in Indian car market also once it isw launched in Europe.
