Fifth Generation of Land Rover Discovery Rendered
British car maker Land Rover has rendered the fifth generation of Discovery SUV to compete with its strong contenders mainly Volvo XC90 and Audi Q7. Introduction of generation next Discovery is not less than a challenge for car maker as to enhance its sales figures, although last five years have witnessed significant enhancement in sales figures. In its fifth generation is speculated that Land Rover Discovery will succeed in taking over its erstwhile version.

The fifth generation of Discovery is developed on Discovery Vision Concept showcased during New York Auto Show 2014 and soon after that company launched its production version during Paris Motor Show 2014. But the recent version of Discovery rendered by company does not stand on the sides of its prototype and is now ready to make its global debut during the Paris Motor Show 2016. Under the bonnet it will be available with three engine options of 2.0 litre Ingenium diesel engine with option of two power tunes including 176 bhp and 235 bhp, 3.0 litre TDV6 diesel engine churning the power of 253 bhp and the third one would be 3.0 litre SiV6 petrol engine that will generate the power of 333 bhp.

Talking about the specifications introduced in generation next Land Rover Discovery it would be interested to know that in its new avatar Discovery carries light weight, is more efficient and faster as compared to ancestors. The body of new Discovery consists 85 percent of aluminum. The front fascia of SUV has been developed by making use magnesium.

Interestingly the new Discovery this time does not carry its conventional square shaped physique, however still it continues with its muscular which succeeds in continuing its making it look alike its predecessor through curves at front bonnet. Inside the cabin you will find some fascinating and mesmerising features and accessories followed by spacious cabin. Going back to history of Discovery family the first generation of this iconic SUV made its debut in 1989 and was considered as a milestone in the history of company. The next generation of Discovery was introduced in 1998 and was developed with additional features like self levelling suspension system and hill descent control system. The third generation of Discovery came in 2004 and integrated features like Terrain Response System allowing adult occupants to enjoy comfort seating experience. The fourth generation of Discovery was introduced in 2010 and still it continues to witness impressive sales figures.
