Force Gurkha spied near Mumbai
As reported earlier domestic car making company Force Motors has announced to start the deliveries of its highly awaited MUV Gurkha in September 2014., spies have succeeded in witnessing few models of Gurkha sporting symbolic registration being tested in outskirt areas of Mumbai. The MUV will be energized with 2.6 litre turbocharged diesel engine received from German car maker Mercedes Benz, developing the power of 85 bhp and torque of 230 Nm. The engine of Gurkha will be coated with five speed gearbox forwarding power to both front and rear wheels.
The car maker had showcased the vehicle during SIAM International Bus and Utility Show held in 2013 and has also started its bookings but did not started it delivery. The sources of company reported that they are making major cosmetic changes in Gurkha according to feedback received by audiences. It would be important to mention here that the Gurkha showcased during the SIAM show was not Euro IV compliant, but the model which company is going to launch in September would be according to existing emission standards.
With aggressive looks the Gurkha will be offered in three variants of which two will represent the soft top trim followed hard top version. It will also sport different locking system for front and rear portions, transfer case, fog lamps, ladder frame chassis, snorkel exhaust and few others. The comfort feature will include power steering and air conditioner. The interesting point after launch would be the pricing of MUV as it would be interested to see the price tag offered with Gurkha. Because if company starts delivering the vehicle to buyers who have booked the vehicle last year, will they be offered with the then price tag or with new price tag according to existing market scenario.
