Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition Reaches The Dealer, Soon To Launch In India
With increasing competition in the segment due to the arrival of Mahindra XUV300 and Hyundai Venue, U.S. car maker Ford is going to launch the Thunder Edition of its one time best selling vehicle in the segment EcoSport soon in the Indian car market.According to the reports spies have captured the glimpse of 2019 Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition parked in the yards of the dealers, thus indicating the chances of its soon launch in India. The reports received from the spies reveal that the Thunder Edition undergoes major cosmetic updates, thus giving it a contemporary look according to the existing market conditions.
The Thunder Edition of the Ford EcoSport is based on the Titanium platform which is one of the best performing trims under the niche. Under the hood it will be empowered with 1.5 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engine. The petrol variant generates the power of 121 hp and the torque of 150Nm, while the diesel churns the power of 99 hp and the torque of 205Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by the five speed manual gearbox system and are reported to offer an average of 14.8 kmpl and 23.0 kmpl respectively.
On the exterior front the Thunder Edition will be offered with dual tone option of white and blue. The portion with white tone has the black sticker of Thuder EcoSport studded over it and on the side. The rear portion also receives the THUNDER sticker to make it look different from the regular version. The roof portion receives the black color treatment. The interior is also developed with dual tone treatment of black and beige combination followed by an option of orange and black tone. The other interior features like smart key, front armrest with storage, touchscreen infotainment system and many others remain same as offered in the regular Ford EcoSport.
