Ford to Upgrade EcoSport with Touchscreen Infotainment System
The compact SUV EcoSport has been a key player for American car maker Ford in Indian car market, and therefore despite of going through cut-throat competition in the segment company has been successfully managing to lure the buyers towards this vehicle with regular updates. Recently, the company launched its refreshed version in International market, which however is not expected to make its debut at the earliest in Indian car market. Albeit, keeping in consideration the increasing market of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Hyundai Creta, Ford India, the subsidiary of car maker is going to bring the upgraded version of EcoSport in India sometimes during the month of February 2017.

According to reports received from company that minute update will be in form of eight inch touch screen infotainment system and mounted at the centre console of the upcoming EcoSport. The infotainment system will offer the facility of playing the DVD of your favorite movie, access the navigation system, rear view camera and supports connectivity with Bluetooth and door lock warning system. This upgrade will however be offered in top end Titanium+ trim of Ford EcoSport and will exceed its price in market up-to Rs. 20,000

The minutely upgraded version is expected to continue with same existing engine configurations of 1.5 litre Ti-VCT petrol and 1.5 litre TDCi diesel engine configuration, with former generating the power of 110 b hp and torque of 140Nm, while the later boosting the power of 99 bhp and torque of 205Nm. With this, the upgraded EcoSport will also sport 1.0 litre petrol Ecoboost engine that will deliver the power of 123.37 bhp and torque of 170 Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by five speed manual gear transmission system and also six speed powershift dual clutch transmission system.
