Ford Figo Aspire landing on August 12, 2015
According to reports Ford India, the Indian arm of American car maker Ford Motors has confirmed to launch the sedan version of its Figo hatchback named as Aspire in Indian car market on August 12, 2015. The bookings of same are already on with dealers since July 27, 2015. The expected Aspire sedan would be launched in both petrol and diesel variants with three engine options of 1.2 litre Ti-VCT and 1.5 litre Ti-VCT petrol engines and 1.5 litre TDCI diesel engine. These three engines would be offered with two transmission options of five speed manual transmission system followed by dual clutch automatic transmission system.
The entry level trim of Aspire would be offered with 1.2 litre Ti-VCT petrol engine will boost the power of 88 PS and generate the torque of 112 Nm, the diesel variant with 1.5 litre TDCi will generate the power of 100 PS and torque of 215 Nmb both these engine options will be mated with five speed manual transmission system. The third and top end variant energized with 1.5 litre Ti-VCT engine will generate the power of 112 PS and torque of 136 Nm, it will be offered with six speed dual clutch automatic transmission system.
The sedan is being developed at company’s production unit at Sanand in Gujarat and is expected to be priced between Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 7 lakh.
