GM cars bag JD Power and Associates Awards in four segments
General Motors has bagged some of the prestigious awards in different categories by JD Power and associates. Notably, the JD Power and Associates study and Awards are one of the most prestigious awards in the international car market and every car maker vie for it aggressively. GM cars such as Chevrolet Camaro, Tahoe, Sierra HD and Buick Lucerne have bagged the Vehicle Dependability Study conducted this year. This is a worth achievement for the car maker and specially when it has set a target to exceed in sales year after year. Back in India, the car maker is excelling with one after the other new car offerings. The most recent being the Chevrolet Sail sedan and the most happening launch will be the Chevrolet Enjoy that is due in sometime.
In India as well, Chevrolet car are considered among the most trusted and one of the most dependable cars. Chevrolet Tavera has literally ruled the taxi segment with its sales threatening Toyota Innova in the segment at one point of time. Its small car Chevrolet Beat Diesel has literally rocked the entry level diesel car segment with its exceptional mileage of 25.44 kmpl. In addition to this, the recently arrive Chevrolet Sail UVA has also threatened Maruti Swift, though following the low sentiment in the industry, its sales were not up to mark otherwise this car had the potential to literally overpower any car in the segment.
Getting awards by JD Power and Associates in different categories is a matter of pride for the American car maker as an intensive study is conducted prior to the decision on the name of the car maker. The agency studies various factors among the nominees such as performance, execution etc and based on the customer satisfaction and other factors, it publicizes the results.
