Hindustan Motors – Mitsubishi vehicles a no show at 2012 Auto Expo
The vehicles from the alliance of Hindustan Motors–Mitsubishi will not be sighted at the approaching Auto Expo to be held at Delhi in January 2012, a report notifies. At present, the actual reasons for this pull out of the company are not reported apart from the fact that the company is right now going through major financial issues and has got nothing innovative to offer that could attract the spectators. Hence, it has shelved all its plans of showcasing any of its vehicles at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo.
There were expectations that Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will be unveiled at the event along with first small car from the Mitsubishi stable which was anticipated in the form of Mitsubishi Mirage. Both these vehicles of Japanese automaker are expected to debut next year in the country.

From Hindustan Motors, a revived variant of iconic sedan Ambassador with the latest diesel machinery was expected to be uncovered. Another promising product that was said to be a compact version of classic Ambassador is currently going through testing phase; it was also awaited at the event.
The iconic four-door sedan Ambassador that is also known as Amby in India, recently saw its launch in Bangladesh in three engine variants namely petrol, diesel and CNG.

The joint venture between Indian automobile manufacturer Hindustan Motors and Japan based conglomerate Mitsubishi Group came into existence in the year 1998. The production unit of the company is situated in the southern district of Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu.
Mitsubishi vehicles that are being currently retailed in the country are Mitsubishi Lancer, Mitsubishi Pajero, Mitsubishi Cedia, Mistubishi Montero and Mitsubishi Outlander.
