Honda Brio all geared up for SA
Looks like festive season is going to be very busy for Honda India! The car maker is ready to export its hatchback, Brio to South Africa. Apparently, about 390 car units have already been dispatched to South Africa from India. The company is targeting to export around 1600 units to SA by March next year. The models shipped are powered by the 1.2 litre of i-VTEC petrol engine (88BHP power and 110Nm torque), which is also present in India. The standard five-speed manual gearbox has been coupled with this engine. The automatic variant of Brio, which has been recently launched in the country, is still under a major question, whether it will be shipped to SA or not.

Besides exporting Brio to SA, Honda India has surely got its hands-full and planning to export its car to other countries as well, which comprise of Tanzania, Seychelles, Kenya and Mauritius. There is no doubt that Honda Brio came up as one of the best products in the Honda India’s portfolio. To be honest, the credit here goes to easy handling, compact size and great performance on road. The recent automatic variant will definitely take the reputation up on the graph.

While we are on the subject, the Honda is also planning for diesel engine. The 1.5 litre of i-DTEC diesel mill is expected to arrive in India very soon. However, there hasn’t been any confirmation on the news, but if rumors are to be believed, the car company might roll out a diesel engine powered Honda Brio in 2013. So lots going on for Honda this year! If Honda keeps exporting Brio to foreign countries, it won’t take long to strengthen its position in the global bazaar and take over other thriving markets very soon.

No doubt, Just like in Indian and Thailand auto markets, Honda's this sleek and value for money hatch would have tremendous response from SA customers. But It will depend on the Honda Brio price and features for SA model. If the company launches same version as available in India than it would become a big hit. Already, it has won the heart of Indian customers with offering of hassle free automatic transmission system version..Thanks to Honda..
