Honda Brio AT launched at Rs 5.74 lakh

The small cars seem to have decided to retaliate after the SUVs took the front seat to drive the Indian auto industry. After the historic launch of the Maruti Alto 800, the Japanese small car Honda Brio has also arrived in its Automatic transmission version. The Honda Brio AT has become quite famous as the low priced superb car in the segment and the AT version is expected to give further push to the Brio car sales in India. Meanwhile, the US wing of Honda has decided to offer CNG worth Rs 1.5 lakh to its customers on the purchase of Honda Civic CNG. The Honda Brio Automatic price has been disclosed that starts from Rs 5.74 lakh. AT transmission is added to Brio's S (o) and V variants. Apart from these two AT variants, the company has also launched a new Manual transmission trim named as Honda Brio EX MT that is priced at Rs 4.26 lakh, Ex-showroom Delhi.

In India, the Brio hatchback has become the most famous Honda car after the Honda City that has ruled the roost for years altogether. However, the rise in the petrol prices has been detrimental to the car sales and it has suffered the most. Honda is already offering Diwali discounts on its City and Brio cars in India. With the addition of the automatic Brio, it is expected that the car will be addressing the new genre of car buyers who wish to have a hassle free city car. Also the Brio is now the second best car that has automatic transmission in place, the first being the Maruti A Star. Sometime later, Hyundai had also introduced the auto transmission on the Hyundai i10.

This introduction of the new transmission will also help Brio take on the A-Star and the i10 in a better fashion as being a Honda car it has all the genes to offer comfort and convenience. The engine and other specification of the Brio remains the same and the Brio AT mileage is 16.5 kmpl while the manual trim delivers 19.4 kmpl.
