Honda Launches CR-V With The Starting Price of Rs. 28.15 lakh

Honda Cars India Limited, the Indian alliance of Japanese car maker Honda Motors has launched the generation next of compact SUV CR-V in the Indian car market with price starting from Rs. 28.15 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs. 30.65 lakh for diesel two wheel drive variant and Rs. 32.75 lakh for diesel all wheel drive variant. All the prices are ex-showroom prices. In its fifth generation the new Honda CR-V has undergone vast cosmetic updates on both the mechanical and aesthetical sides, thus making it the strong contender for Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Tiguan, Ford Endeavour and Skoda Kodiaq. The worth mentioning feature of the new CR-V is that for the first time it has been offered with seven-seater facility.

Mechanically, the petrol variant of new CR-V is offered with 2.0 litre engine that is capable of boosting the power of 152 bhp and the torque of 192 NM and mated with CVT gearbox and front wheel drive system. The diesel variant is empowered with 1.6 litre turbocharged engine, that is reported to generate the power of 118 bhp and torque of 300Nm. It will be mated with nine speed AT transmission system along with paddle shifter. In its new avatar it would be offered with five color options including Radiant Red Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Orchid Pearl and Modern Steel.

Talking about the features offered inside the cabin it adorns the features like the new center console with piano black treatments, wood finishing and new stylish push buttons. Other interior features include a multi angle rear view camera, seven inch multi-touchscreen infotainment system, eight speakers, automatic climate control,panoramic sunroof, push button start/stop and remote engine start offered in the petrol variant. Apart from this, it also sports the safety features like ABS+EBD, vehicle stability control system, pre-tensioner ELR seat belt, Isofix child seats, brake assist, hill start, and finally the last but the most important safety feature the airbags.
