Honda offers upto Rs 50k discount on City and Brio

The rise in petrol prices seems to have unraveled the big plans the car companies were dreaming. Honda being a only petrol car maker was the worst sufferer. Now, in order to do some damage control, it has floated huge discounts on its cars – Honda City and Honda Brio. The discounts are to the tune of Rs 40k to Rs 50 k and as per sources information, at this discount the City sedan and the Brio hatchback have become the best buy cars in India. However, their only being in petrol is a big minus. Meanwhile, the Honda Brio Automatic launch plans are intact and the company is soon to launch the new model of the small car Brio soon.

Honda is offering Rs 50,000 off on Brio hatchback and thus it effective price after discount is Rs 3.5 lakh. At this price this small car becomes a best buy and it is expected that this will return the lost sheen for the car maker. Notably, Honda has been struggling with production outages and other reasons lately and then the petrol prices took a steep rise impacting the car makers sales drastically. Also the City sedan has many more viable and diesel powered rivals such as Ford Fiesta, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Swift Dzire. All these rival cars are offered in diesel as well and this has resulted in making sedan suffer in terms of sales.

Meanwhile reports also suggest a close by launch of the City CNG car and with that the City will be getting a sudden boost in sales as it has decent presence in the sedan segment. On the other hand reports of City Diesel and Honda Jazz Diesel besides diesel powered Honda CR-V remain reports and no concrete announcements were made by the car maker.
