Hyundai elite i20 crossover coming in first quarter of 2015, what to expect?
From quite long time it was rumored that encouraged from the over whelming response received by Hyundai Elite i20, Korean car maker is going to bring a crossover developed on the same platform. Moreover spies have also witnessed a sample of crossover based on Elite i20 being tested on Indian roads. And now finally it has been confirmed by car maker that company is going to bring i20 Crossover in Indian car market during the first quarter of next year followed by upgraded Elantra, Verna and ix20 crossover.
To begin with Elite i20 crossover would be launched in both petrol and diesel disguises. The petrol version would be empowered with same 1.2 litre petrol engine boosting the power of 83 PS, while the diesel version will bestow 1.4 litre turbo diesel engine that generates the power of 90 PS. Both the engine would be mated with five speed manual gearbox. As far as price of crossover is concerned is it speculated to be priced slightly higher then Elite i20 hatchback.
Moving towards the looks of Elite i20 crossover it is reported to carry the same looks as offered in Toyota Etios Cross and Fiat Avventura launched recently. The front fascia receives LED daytime running lamps, projector headlamps. The front and rear portion receives bumper skids, and newly developed alloy wheels. Inside the cabin it is speculated to carry same looks as offered in Elite i20. It is also speculated that i20 Crossover might receive enhanced ground clearance.
