Hyundai Elite i20 launched with starting price of Rs. 4.89 lakh (ex-showroom price)
Hyundai Motors India Limited the Indian arm of Korean car Hyundai Motors has launched its new hatchback Elite i20 in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 4.89 lakh (ex-showroom price in New Delhi). The new Hyundai Elite i20 has been launched in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol version is empowered with 1.2 litre VTVT Kappa petrol engine producing the power of 83 PS and torque of 11.7 kgm. The diesel variant is empowered with the new 1.4 litre CRDi diesel engine boosting the power of 90 PS and torque of 22.4 kgm. The diesel variant is coated with six speed manual transmission system while the petrol version is empowered with five speed transmission system.
The diesel variant is claimed to deliver the fuel efficient performance of 22.54 kmpl while the petrol variant deliver the fuel efficiency of 18.60 kmpl. The new Elite i20 is developed on company’s fluidic design it sports hexagonal front grille and swept back headlamps, trapezoidal fog lamps, and various other dynamic and aggressive features at the exteriors. The hatchback has the ground clearance of 170 mm. Inside the cabin the hatchback adorns black beige toned dash and seats, multi-functional steering wheel with audio and Bluetooth controls, 2 DIN audio system supporting connectivity with USB and Bluetooth, Aux-in, and 1GB internal memory, automatic temperature control, start/stop button and many more.
Addressing the launch of Hyundai Elite i20 Mr. B.S. Seo, Managing Director and CEO HMIL said that Elite i20 is a universal product which has been developed to deliver true value of their money to its customers. Talking about the first generation i20 Mr. B.S. said that first i20 was launched targeting the young car enthusiasts in 2008 and since its inception in Indian car market the company has sold out 7.34 lakh in India and other parts of world. Now with launch of Elite i20 company intends to enhance its market share.
