Hyundai i20/HB20 launching soon
It seems that Indonesia and Brazil have become equally important for car makers just as India is. As per a recent update, the Korean car maker Hyundai has reportedly released a teaser for its upcoming car Hyundai HB20 that has genes similar to the Indian Hyundai i20. It is believed that the car manufacturer will be launching the new car in Brazil in September - October. In Brazil, the new i20 (HB20 as it is called) will be having a duel with the recently launched Volkswagen Gol (available as Volkswagen Polo in India) and Fiat Punto. It is believed that this will be a major boost to the Brazilian portfolio by Hyundai and this will help the car maker strengthen its position with respect to other car makers.

The Brazilian i20 (called as HB20) will be based on the i20 platform on which the European model is made. Among the design changes that the new i20 will imbibe includes new front in consonance with the latest design philosophy adopted by the car maker that will be influencing all its future models and the refreshed models of its existing models. The new Fluidic avatar alike the new Hyundai Verna will have lots of fluidicity in the design and flowing lines will be particularly seen on the exteriors of the new HB20. This car will be deriving a new engine from Kia Picanto and will be powered by a 1 L three cylinder engine outputting a maximum power of 80 hp. Another engine option in the offing is the 1.6 L 130 hp more powerful one. The engines run on petrol and ethanol as per the Brazilian norms.

The features on the new HB20 in Brazil will include a new sound system that has integrated USB connectivity. Adjustable steering with audio control, parking sensor and a lot of other gizmos easing the driving as well as enhancing the comfort level will also be there on the new Hyundai car. As per the updates, the new car will be produced locally in Brazil and will be launched in October.
