Hyundai i30 Wagon all set for a unveil at Geneva Motor Show

The Hyundai i30 Wagon with new styling with more up market quality interiors compared to its small car i30 will be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The five door Wagon will appear at the global car event at the proposed press conference by the Hyundai on March 6. Inspired by Fluidic lines, i30 is another incarnation of the new design philosophy of the Korean car maker. The Hyundai i30 hatchback launch is also expected in India in the mid of this year at a price tag of Rs 8-9 lakh. The images of the Hyundai i30 wagon has just been officially released by Hyundai.

A product of the design and research at Hyundai’s European R&D centre in Russelsheim, Germany, the i30 five door Wagon is also expected in India after its global launch following its price and spacious nature. The all-new i30 Wagon that has been modified to be 185mm longer than its hatchback sibling features a 528 litres of boot space making it fit for a large family car. The trunk space increases to 1642 litres with rear seats folded.

Look wise there is close similarity between the i30 hatchback and the i30 Wagon. Both have similar front. The Wagon being a little longer looks like a stretched i30 hatch. At the front there is the same grille in hexagonal shape with the new generation jewel shaped headlamps and if parked side by side any onlooker will mistake it with the hatch. The real difference appears if it is seen from the sides, starting from the B Pillar the difference gets more pronounced and towards the rear and tail part. The roofline is extended with tehincrease in length and it extends to the cargo area that can also be used for passenger seating as well.

Apart from these differences, the all-new i30 Wagon has more effect of Fluidic design than the present generation i30 hatch. There are pronounced lines that extend till the tail lamps. The engine department will be taken care of by 95PS petrol and 135PS diesel engine.
