Hyundai Launches Sports Edition of Eon, Priced Rs. 3.88 lakh
According to recent industry reports, without making any dynamic promotional strategy, Hyundai Motors India Limited, the Indian arm of Korean car maker Hyundai Motors has launched the “Sports Edition” of its hatchback Eon in Indian car market with price tag of Rs. 3.88 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The Sports Edition undergoes cosmetic updates and continues with existing engine configurations of 0.8 litre and 1.0 litre engine. The Sports Edition is Rs. 16,000 costlier than the existing Era+ variant and Rs. 10,000 expensive than Magna+ variant.
Talking about the features that offered on the exterior front, it would be interested to ignoring the trend of introducing Sports Edition with dual color treatment, Hyundai has embellished it Sports Eon with Sporty Roof Rails followed by side-body moulding graphics for giving it a sportier look. With this the Sports Edition is offered only in “Polar White” color treatment.
Inside the cabin the Sports Edition adorns 6.2 touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with USB, AUX, Bluetooth and your smartphone. This feature is regarded as one of the noteworthy features introduced in the Sports Edition, and which in recent years has emerged as an essential interior feature. The other interior features unchanged. As far as mechanical changes are concerned it continues with existing 0.8 litre petrol engine that is capable of producing 56 PS and torque of 77Nm. The engine is mated with five speed manual transmission system and delivers an average of 21.1 kmpl. After launch in Indian car market the Hyundai Eon Sports Edition will compete against Maruti Suzuki Alto and Datsun redi-Go.
