Hyundai Sonata 2015 unveiled during New York Motor Show 2014
Korean car maker has unveiled the facelift version of its sedan Sonata during the ongoing New York Motor Show 2014. In recent times car maker is working on enhancing its fluidic architecture and facelift Sonata is an extension of that strategy which is known as Fluidic Sculpture 2.0. In simple terms the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 can be considered as an advanced version of Fluidic concept. The 2015 Sonata receives 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine boosting the power of 245 bhp and torque of 352 Nm and 2.4 litre Theta II GTDI engine developing the power of 185 bhp and torque of 241 Nm.
The interiors of Sonata 2015 have been completely a luxurious and royal look making its miles ahead from the existing version of Sonata. The dashboard of new Sonata receives various additional features. The 8 inch screen has been integrated just at the top above the central console and carries latest navigation and infotainment system. Other features offered in new Sonata facilitating the driver to enjoy safe driving includes blind spot monitoring, collision warning, rear cross traffic alert system, lane departure warning, automatic high beam headlamps, adaptive cruise control and heated and ventilated seats.
It is expected that after launching the sedan in International car market it will be launched in Indian car market by the mid of next year and will compete against Honda Accord and Camry from Toyota. With new Sonata company expects that it will receive the success which it could not succeed in its first avatar.
