Hyundai Sonata tie-up with Indian Polo Association

Hyundai India has entered into a tie up with Indian Polo Association and had organized Hyundai Sonata Ambassadors Cup at the Jaipur Polo ground on Sunday. The occasion was chaired by Chief of Army Staff General VK Singh. On the occasion Hyundai displayed the glittering new Hyundai Sonata sedan that has made a reentry in India along with it SUV offering Santa Fe and fluidic inspired sedan Hyundai Verna. And the Hyundai Veloster and Hyundai Elantra also made special guest appearance at the polo match.

There were six teams that participated in the event. Besides Hyundai Sonata team there was Jindal Steel, Sahgal Stud/APRC, Black Dog, Vayamtech and Hyatt Regency. The Sunday event was a final match and polo lovers from India were present in huge numbers at the event. The Indian army band gave the official welcome tune to the Chief of Army Staff.

Mr. Arvind Saxena, Director, Marketing and Sales, Hyundai India has expressed his delight over the Hyundai Sonata Ambassadors Cup 2012 tie up with Indian Polo Association and asserted that the tie up will help the Association promote the polo game. Experts believe that the tie up is also significant from the point of view of Hyundai’s strategy to contribute to the promotion of games and sports in India. The Indian Polo Association is an association that promotes polo sport in India and this event in Jaipur is seen as a significant move by the car maker and the Polo Association.

The event is also important from the point of view of Hyundai promoting the Hyundai Sonata in India. The fluidic inspired Sonata has restarted its journey in India and is in the sixth generation. Besides an array of latest features such as cruise control and paddle shift. The Sonata features a 2.4L GDi engine and is available in six speed manual and automatic versions.
