Made in India Toyota Etios sedan positioned to debut in South Africa

One of the world’s largest automobile manufacturer; Toyota Motors for the first time will be selling cars overseas that are made in India. South Africa will be the country where the company will be exporting its cars, and this will mark the debut of India made cars being exported to any other nation.

As per the Japan based auto giant, initially from March 2012 onwards the India made Etios sedan will be exported to South Africa. The sedan will be particularly designed and developed for the auto market in the country located at southern tip of the African continent.

The Toyota Motors was smacked with the natural devastation (earthquake and tsunami) that took place on the East coast of Japan in March this year, forcing the firm to shut its manufacturing plants in the country. The company also received a severe blow with the economical decelerate globally.

The chief automaker is confident on upcoming markets such as India in Asia, to carry on with the production of its vehicles without any disruption. The current yearly manufacturing of Toyota Motors from India is around 160,000 units, which will increase to 310,000 units as per the company till the year 2013.

In India, Toyota Motor Corporation is in joint business with Kirloskar Group, for the sales and manufacture of Toyota automobiles. Toyota sells a long range of products such as Toyota Corolla Altis, Camry, Innova, Etios Sedan, Etios Liva Hatchback across the country.

The Engine of Toyota Etios is extremely powerful and gives a tremendous response even while picking up at higher gears.
