Mahindra Scorpio N Receives 5 Stars In GNCAP Test

Mahindra Scorpio N the new SUV from the domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra, which was launched in India on August 19, 2022, has scored five-star ratings in the Global NCAP test. The new NCAP was conducted according to the new safety protocols. The trim of the Scorpio N test during the test had front airbags, a load limiter, a seat belt reminder, a seatbelt pre-tensioner and ISOFIX.
 
 
During the test, the Scorpio N received 29.25 points out of 34 in adult occupancy and 28.93 points out of 49 in child occupancy. According to the sources of the GNCAP authorities, the bodyshell and footwell segments were stable during the test, while the latter withstood properly with extra loadings. After Mahindra XUV700, Scorpio N is the second SUV from the homegrown carmaker to score a five-star rating during the GNCAP test.
 
During the side crash test, the deformable barrier provided complete protection to passengers. The SUV scored 16/17 points on the side impact test. The SUV offered complete protection to the head, abdomen, chest, and pelvis. The SUV was given an “OK” rating for the side pole impact tests. It could not succeed in impressing the authorities in offering protection to the chest during the test.
