Mahindra Unveils Scorpio N, Bookings To Start From July 30, 2022
The domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra has finally revealed all the details of its new SUV Scorpion N yesterday. The company will start receiving the bookings from July 30, 2022. The Scorpion N will be displayed in the dealerships from July 5, 2022, onwards. The new version of the Scorpio SUV receives a new design philosophy followed by a list of new features introduced for the first time in the segment. Although the company has revealed all the details of the Scorpio N SUV, it has yet to disclose the prices of the top-end variant with an automatic transmission system and four-wheel drive trim.

Engine Details: Under the hood, the Scorpion N will receive power from two engine options. The petrol variant will receive the power from a 2.0-litre mStallion engine. It is available with a manual gear transmission option and with an automatic transmission system. The petrol trim with a manual gear transmission system generates the power of 200 PS and the torque of 370Nm. The automatic transmission system generates the same power of 200 PS but develops the torque of 380 Nm. It comes with a rear-wheel-drive option.
The diesel variant receives the power from a 2.2-litre engine. The lower trims in the diesel variant generate the power of 132 PS and the torque of 300 Nm, whereas the top-end trims develop the power of 175 PS and the torque of 400 Nm. It is available with both driving options of a rear-wheel-drive option and an all-wheel-drive option. The transmission duties in diesel trims will be performed by a six-speed manual gear transmission system.
Design: The new Scorpio N receives a boxier and bold body. The front fascia has a new six-slatted grille along with the company’s logo at the centre. The honeycomb mesh is placed just below the Mahindra logo. The front portion also has LED dual-projector headlights followed by LED fog lights along with C-shaped LED DRLs. The new Scorpio N looks bigger than its existing version. It will be available with six and seven-seater options and in five trims namely, Z2, Z4, Z6, and the top-end trim the Z8.
Features: Inside the cabin, the Scorpio N adorns multiple features, some of which are offered for the first time in the segment. Some of these features include Alexa, Adrenox connected car technology with more than 70 features, what3words navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also integrates applications like JustDial, AccuWeather, Zomato, TickerTape and a few more. Some of the other features include dual-zone fully automatic climate control, front and rear cameras with sensors, a dual cluster with TFT display, a wireless charging system, 12-speaker 3D audio system. There will be three driving modes namely - Zip, Zap and Zoom.
Safety Features: On the safety front it has six airbags available on the top-end trim, tyre pressure monitoring, driver drowsy detection (first time in the segment), trailer sway mitigation, dynamic stability control, hill-hold and hill-descent, and roll-over mitigation, and a few more.
