Maruti Suzuki Celerio diesel spied un-camouflaged for first time
Spies have succeeded in witnessing the diesel variant of MSIL’s recent launch Celerio in Indian car market completely un-covered for the first time. Earlier it was only rumored that Japanese car maker is working on bringing the diesel variant of Celerio, especially after the launch of CNG variant. But this time spies have endorsed the diesel variant being tested on Indian roads without any covers and according to reports received from spies the spied version also embellished ZDI badge, thus completely indicating the diesel variant of Celerio being tested.

The diesel Celerio will be empowered with two cylinder 800 cc diesel engine that will generate the power between 45bhp and 50 bhp and torque between 120Nm to 130Nm. The diesel variant is expected to fuel efficient and endorsed to deliver the fuel efficient performance of 30 kmpl. It is reported that company will configure the same engine in its upcoming commercial vehicle codenamed as Y9T.
As far as cosmetic changes are concerned the diesel variant will carry some minute changes including improved suspension system, whereas other features are expected to remain same as offered in petrol version. The diesel variant will be offered in four trims including LXi, VXi, ZCi, and ZXi(O). It is also speculated that company might AMT version in the top end version of diesel variant. If you are concerned about the pricing of diesel Celerio than it might be offered with price tag of Rs. 4.6 lakh (ex-showroom price). However, the exact details about price and features would be revealed at the time of actual launch of Celerio Diesel.
