Maruti Celerio : The waiting period extends
With Celerio hatchback country’s leading car manufacturing company MSIL made a remarkable start of the year 2014. The launch of new Celerio not only received an overwhelming response from all segments of society but also set a new benchmark in hatchback by becoming the most liked car among the buyers of this specific segment.

But one news may disappoint the aspirants of Celerio. It is reported that waiting period of Maruti Celerio AMT has extended from six month to eight-nine months. This was also confirmed by Mr. R.C. Bhargava, Chairman, MSIL, who said that the buyers who booked Celerio at the time of its launch will have for next year to drive home their favorite hatchback. The same news was also confirmed by Maruti’s authorized dealers across the country, endorsing that there is huge demand of Celerio’s AMT version which is the main reason for such a high demand of Celerio. According to sources going through long waiting period some of the customers have even cancelled their bookings whereas some are ready to pay additional price for buying their Celerio.
The first reason which comes at first instance behind the extending waiting period of AMT version is its production by Magnetti Mareli from Italy, which takes time in importing the AMT version from Italy to India. However it is speculated that once Italian manufacturer starts producing AMT version at company’s production plant in Manesar the situation will improve instantly.
