Maruti launched A-Star Aktiv as special edition

The slothful sales of Maruti A Star mini hatch in India have provoked the company to carry out final attempt to spur the sales of this youthful vehicle in the form of Maruti A-Star ‘Aktiv’. The lately launched Aktiv variant is a limited edition version that holds several ornamental changes inside out, while the under hood remains intact. Available with marvelous body decals on the exteriors, Maruti A-Star Aktiv sports red & white interior theme. This special edition is offered in manual variant VXI and VXI automatic. Though the number of units on sale is not disclosed by the passenger car supremo, however it will attract an added cost of Rs. 14,900 over the ongoing said models.

The outer surface of Aktiv appears very eye-catching and athletic with glossy characteristics like modern graphics on roof and side doors. The graphics extend to the front as well as rear of the Maruti A-Star together with highlighted false fog lamp housing.  The sides profile gets dual color ORVMs along with blackened B pillar for that classiness. Furthermore, the rear sees sporty spoiler and ‘AKTIV’ logo at the back of Maruti A-Star Aktiv. The red and white spacious looking interior upholstery inside provide with a jolly feel. Whereas with the all-new steering wheel cover, shielding door sills, rear parcel tray, floor mats and advanced keyless entry system bestow the much needed freshness to the compartment.

The under hood mechanicals go untouched as they continue to uproar a maximum power of 67 PS with its 5-speed manual gearbox and 4-speed automatic. Here it competes with the likes of Hyundai i10, Honda Brio and Ford Figo. Prior to this revamp attempt, lastly Maruti had rolled out the ‘Spiced-Up’ variant of A Star, but again it failed to live up to the sales expectations of the firm. So let’s hope that this ‘energetic’ edition, ‘Maruti A-Star Aktiv’, pulls the young and restless generation towards Maruti showrooms in India.
